We built Salary Galaxy to not want your data.

Your salary history is about as personal as numbers get. Here is exactly what happens to it: nothing.

No accounts, no database

There is no sign-up, no login, and no server that saves what you type. Everything you enter stays on your device: the editor keeps a draft in your own browser's local storage so a reload doesn't wipe your work, and that draft never leaves your machine. “Clear data” erases it. CSV files you import are read locally and never uploaded.

The share link is the data

When you copy a share link, your years, salaries, job titles, and any notes you add are encoded directly into the link itself. Leave out of a note anything you would not put in the link, a company name being the common case. We don't store a copy; there is nothing to store. That also means the link is only as private as you keep it: anyone you send it to can view the chart, and anyone they forward it to can too. To “delete” a shared history, stop sharing the link. There is no copy on our side to delete.

What our servers do see

Like every website, our servers handle requests: when someone opens a share link, the encoded data in that URL passes through our server to render the page and draw the preview image. It is processed in memory to build the response and is not written to a database. We use cookieless, aggregate analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to count visits; it does not identify you, track you across sites, or see your salary data as anything other than part of a URL.

No third parties

We don't sell data, share data, or run advertising. There are no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting, and no cookies for you to accept.
